Guisborough Forrest & Walkway 

Whether it’s to walk, cycle, or enjoy a family picnic, Guisborough woods is a perfect location for a fun day outdoors. Some of the facilities include a visitor centre, trails, sculpture trail, orienteering, and a children’s play area.

Hardwick Park

A perfect active day out in the countryside. With free admission (apart from car parking charges), you can stroll through the historic parkland admiring the natural beauty of the lake, woodland, and wildlife. There is also a gift shop & cafe on site for a spot of light lunch, snacks & refreshments.

Ropner Park

Get the picnic packed and enjoy this restored, Victorian park in Stockton-on-Tees. Take a stroll by the lakeside or along tree-lined avenues and admire the beautiful floral displays. There’s a play area, tennis courts, bowls club, and large grassed areas for games and picnics.

Stewart Park

Covering 120 acres, Stewart Park offers beautiful lakes and open spaces for games and picnics, play areas, mini golf, various trails, and even a pet’s corner.

Museums
Encourage curiosity!

Preston Park & Museum

Preston Park & Museum offers an enjoyable day out for everyone! Sat on 100 acres of stunning parkland, the Museum hall offers a fantastic visitor experience by strolling along Victorian Street watching traditional craftspeople at work, or exploring the exciting collections of art and armour in the Hall.

Dorman Museum

The museum houses the largest public collections worldwide of locally made Linthorpe Art Pottery and designs by Dr. Christopher Dresser. Don’t forget to check out the upcoming events at the Dorman Museum too:

Kirkleatham Museum

The museum features a wide range of exhibitions and displays covering local industrial, maritime and social history.

Indoor  Activities

Perfect for whatever the weather!

Jump 360

Jump, flip & tumble at the indoor trampoline park!  Featuring foam pits, airbags, and over 100 trampolines for hours of fun. There is a dedicated space for toddlers as well as a jump junior session which allows the younger visitors to use the facilities without the older children around, in a more relaxed environment.

Hollywood Bowl 

Bowling is the perfect opportunity for some family fun! At Hollywood Bowl, even the young players have the chance to play with bumper lanes & ramps to help them push the ball at speed.

Clip ‘n Climb 

Anyone over the age of 4 is welcome to try this fun indoor adventure as there is an automatic belay system, so you need no climbing experience. A fun-filled day for all the family!

Wildlife 

Newham Grange Farm 

Visit all your usual farm favourites such as cattle, sheep, pigs, and goats as well as rabbits, ponies, donkeys & poultry! It’s a great budget-friendly day out with all the family.

Tweddle Farm

Tweddle Childrens Animal Farm is an exciting mix of animals, activities, and indoor and outdoor fun! As well as having the opportunity to meet & pet a variety of animals (big and small) you also have access to the go-kart track, crazy golf, the indoor play barn, and play area.
