Billingham Memorial Bench

Billingham on Tees is a small town located just opposite Stockton on Tees and close by to Norton on Tees. A small town like Billingham has inspired one of the top one hundred greatest novels of all time following a visit to ICI Billingham. Aldous Huxley penned his highly acclaimed “Brave New World” novel and even named characters after our roads. Furthermore, Ridley Scott, one of the most acclaimed directors in the business, took inspiration from Billingham’s ICI area for the film Blade Runner.

Transport

Billingham has a railway station that connects to local towns such as Hartlepool, Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Redcar, and Whitby. Making it easy to travel around local towns/cities and back.

Schools

There are Ofsted rated ‘Good’ or above schools from primary to college level within Billingham. Examples include Pentland Primary, Roseberry Primary, and St. Paul's Catholic Primary School. Senior school options include Northfield School and Sports College, and St. Michael's Catholic Academy. There is also Bede Sixth form college which offers a wide variety of A-levels and BTEC level courses.

Billingham, for a small town, has various leisure activities for all age ranges. The Billingham Forum offers an exciting range of activities from swimming to ice skating and even soft play. For adults, The Billingham Forum has a gym, exercise classes, and even hosts slimming world groups. The Billingham forum also has a separate entrance that locates their theater, which hosts music, comedy, and family events. A short walk from Forum and you are in the local park, which has a skate park for children and a large play area. Food & Drink

Billingham offers an impressive range of food; The Pepper Mill Bistro is a hidden gem of a restaurant offering excellent quality food. Another restaurant option is LaPorta which offers affordable Italian dining in a great central location. For more casual dining and drinking, there are The Kings Arms and The Merlin pub. These locations offer all your pub classics and they both make a fantastic ‘Parmo’, the Teesside specialty (you can’t go wrong).
