Transport

Marton has many bus links leading to local secondary schools in Acklam and into the town centre. Marton also has its own northern rail train stop, this train takes you all around the northeast.

Schools

Within Marton, there are a few but very good primary schools. These primary schools include Lingfield Primary School, Captain Cook Primary School, Marton Manor Primary School which are all Ofsted rated good schools. In the area, there are no secondary schools. However, this is not an issue as there are schools local to the area such as Nunthorpe academy or The King's Academy.

Stewarts Park is a huge focal point of Marton, with beautiful scenery, a café, a playground, and a museum. Captain Cook, the British explorer, birthplace is within Marton. Within Stewarts Park, there is a museum named the Captain Cook Museum. It’s also a popular stop for picnics in the summer and has even hosted festivals such as BBC Radio 1 festival. Close to the park is a sports village which offers activities and clubs for running, football, skating and bike riding. Which are great activities for children and sports enthusiasts. Furthermore, within Marton, there is a promenade of shops including, banks, local shops, libraries, community hubs, and local pubs.
